Birth Stories

'Afterwards the midwife said it was an honour and a privilege to help deliver our baby-what a compliment!'

Wendy, Well as you know, I was the sceptic, dragged by my husband to try HypnoBirthing!  But having done your course and having had a wonderful birth I'm now a true believer.
I remember watching videos with people saying that birthing their child was a wonderful experience and now I know why...Here's mine:

5.30am my water's broke, 7.00am my surges started, I went to hospital at 8.30am where I was 4cm dilated.  Bo was born completely naturally at 2.20pm in the birthing pool!!

Throughout my labour I had the CD playing, which really helped me relax and concentrate on my breathing.  I completely "zoned" out, I had my eyes closed for most of the time and hardly spoke.  I felt completely in control and let my body do all the work.

We hardly used any of the scripts - I didn't feel I needed them.  Maxwell kept stroking me, reminded me to keep my chin down and prompted me to visualize the rosebud.

My midwife was fantastic and basically left us to it!  She was due to finish her shift at 1pm but insisted on staying until Bo was born because she said it was the most serene and peaceful labour she'd ever seen!  It was also her first water birth and first physiological third stage of labour in over 20 years of being a midwife!!!  Afterwards she said it was an honour and a privilege to help deliver our baby-what a compliment!!

I haven't stopped raving about HypnoBirthing since Bo was born and I've already recommended you to two friends.

Thank you Wendy and book me on a refresher course for our next baby!!!

Lots of Love

Maxwell, Lynsey and Beautiful Baby Bo xxxxx
