Acupuncture is a system of holistic healing, working to promote a healthy body, mind and spirit.

Acupuncture seeks to restore the body, mind, spirit balance with the use of fine needles on specific acupuncture points. Acupuncture can be used for many different symptoms or conditions such as endometriosis and fibroids. It can help to successfully regulate the menstrual cycle, nourish blood supply to the uterus and reduce anxiety and stress.

If you are having IVF treatment, acupuncture will help to improve and restore the natural balance of energy which can become depleted during a course of treatment.

Nutrition

Nutritional Therapist Amanda Miles BSc (Hons), PGCE, Dip. CNM trained with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Bristol. She has a keen interest in working with women who have hormone related problems, and couples trying to conceive.

Nutritional Therapy looks at the whole person, including diet, health and lifestyle, in order to identify and address any nutrient imbalance and underlying cause of health problems.

Good nutrition is important at all stages of life, but is a key factor in both male and female fertility.

Nutritional therapy can help to maximize your fertility and can help address issues such as:

  • Hormone imbalances
  • Endometriosis
  • PCOS
  • Weight problems
It can also help in cases of unexplained infertility by making sure you are getting the right quantities of nutrients needed to conceive and sustain a pregnancy.

Nutritional Therapy is helpful for both natural and assisted conception as it promotes good health and hence maximizes fertility.
